EV Guide and FAQs for Drivers

GeniePoint, provided by ENGIE EV Solutions is the UK’s most experienced provider of Electric Vehicle charging and payment solutions.

How to start a charge

How to add credit to your account

To charge your EV on the GeniePoint Network costs 30p/kWh. There is a small connection fee of £1.00 each time you connect (£1.80 inside the M25). You can monitor the progress of your charging session through the GeniePoint Network Mobile Web App.

No one wants to wait for a charge, so we have introduced a overstay fee (over 90 minutes) of £10.00. This means GeniePoint Network users benefit from better charger availability and can get back on the road sooner.

Most of our fast chargers are not subject to an overstay fee, however, please check the charger information on our map and on individual chargers for specific details.

A list of most chargers are available on your car’s navigation system. For the most up-to-date list of chargers and their availability, you can find a map of all our GeniePoint Network chargers and latest information on the GeniePoint Network Mobile Web App.

Neither GeniePoint or the host will accept any responsibility if you are issued with a penalty charge notice for non-payment of parking charges.

Overstay Fees will apply if you are charging for over 90 minutes on a Rapid Charger.

Most of our fast chargers are not subject to an overstay fee. However, please check the charge point information on our map and on individual chargers for specific details.
